Conventions

Past, Present and Future

Conventions are a marvellous way to meet other fans, see some of the actors who worked on the series, buy fanzines and other merchandise, do all sorts of silly things, and generally have a good time.

One of the best things about conventions is meeting people whom you may only have known from their letters or e-mails. If you have never been to a convention and would like to know what it's like, why not look at the convention reports on this page.

Two conventions that are likely to attract a large number of Blake's 7 fans are Redemption and Cult TV.

The Magician's Page Contains a large list of lots of conventions, any with a Blake's 7 content should hopefully be listed here.

Conventions Coming in the UK

That have a large or partial Blake's 7 content - in chronological order.

Tardis in Durham
When: 6-7 October 2007
Where: Dolphin Centre, Darlington
Who: Magic Bullet, and Peter Miles, and Stephen Baxter, Val McDermid, Jilly Cooper, Paul Magrs, Frank Williams (the Vicar in Dad's Army), Brian Croucher, Alistair Lock, Fraser Hines, Deborah Watling, Gabriel Woolf, Philip Madoc, Paul Darrow and Vic Reeves.

Redemption '09
This will be a fan run event with all profits to charity. It will concentrate on fannish activities that let people join in rather than just sit in audience and listen. As at the two previous Redemptions, games will play a major part with role playing games and board games featuring alongside quizzes and competitions. Other events will include workshops, panels, debates, masquerade, drinking and so on.

Guests will be announced in due course.
