LYSATOR
The Lysator Blake's 7 List can be controlled by email on via the web.
Posting
To post a message you must be a subscriber, though you do not have to be
receiving messages from the list. ie you can be register to post even if
you currently dont want to get the messages - for example you have several
email addresses and want to post from all of them, or are just overloaded.
To post to this list, send your email to:
blakes7@lysator.liu.se.
The list is still closed, so that only subscribers can post. In order
to have second address you can post from (work, your parents' house,
whatever), subscribe the new address and then set the "Don't deliver
mail" option for it.
Subscribing and Controlling
Using the Web interface
Note that much of the following can be accomplished via the World
Wide Web, at:
http://lists.lysator.liu.se/mailman/listinfo/blakes7.
It is strongly recomended that you use the web interface, if you can. As
this has from experience been easily to use.
In particular, you can use the Web site to have your password sent to
your delivery address.

Help for Blakes7 mailing list:
This is the text of email command help for the "Mailman" list
manager. The following describes commands you can send to get
information about and control your subscription to Mailman lists at
this site. A command can be in the subject line or in the body of the
message.
List specific commands (subscribe, who, etc) should be sent to the
*-request address, e.g. for the 'blakes7'
list, use '
blakes7-request@lisator.liu.se'.
About the descriptions - words in "<>"s signify REQUIRED items and
words in "[]" denote OPTIONAL items. Do not include the "<>"s or
"[]"s when you use the commands.
The following commands are valid:
- subscribe [password] [digest-option] [address=<address>]
-
Subscribe to the mailing list. Your password must be given to
unsubscribe or change your options. When you subscribe to the
list, you'll be reminded of your password periodically.
'digest-option' may be either: 'nodigest' or 'digest' (no
quotes!) If you wish to subscribe an address other than the
address you send this request from, you may specify
"address=<email address>" (no brackets around the email
address, no quotes!)
Assuming you password is Servalan and your email address is Avon@blakes-7.com
then to subscribe to the ordinary (non digest) list then email to
blakes7-request@lisator.liu.se with the message containing:
subscribe Servalan address=Avon@blakes-7.com
If you want the digest list use:
subscribe Servalan digest address=Avon@blakes-7.com
- unsubscribe <password> [address]
-
Unsubscribe from the mailing list. Your password must match
the one you gave when you subscribed. If you are trying to
unsubscribe from a different address than the one you
subscribed from, you may specify it in the 'address' field.
To unsubscribe using the example above, email to
blakes7-request@lisator.liu.se with the message containing:
unsubscribe Servalan address=Avon@blakes-7.com
