Since resigning from a certain company, I have been inundated with letters, texts, faxes and telephone calls. Added to which, I have been personally approached on many occasions. Without exception, I have been treated with kindness, sympathy and courtesy. I would like to thank you all. Whilst being aware that the words, "thank you", are all too inadequate.
A number of statements have been issued, to which some of you have asked me to respond. But I could not hope to match the wit and perspicacity that so many of you have shown in your responses.
As the festive season approaches, I wish every one of you a Merry Christmas or, if you prefer, Happy Holidays. Whatever...let's hope 2004 will be peaceful and prosperous for us all.

Paul has been filming a TV series called THE STRANGERERS. It's a comedy about 2 aliens who arrive on Earth. Written by Rob Grant (of Red Dwarf fame), Paul plays a character called "Seedy Man" a working class owner of a revolting hotel who dresses like John Travolta - complete with a John Travolta wig! Seedy Man is the only "straight" role . The TV series will originally be shown on Sky TV round about December/January time - it will then go on to one of the other 4 main channels. It is a 10 part series, but as yet we don't know how many Paul will be in. Gareth Thomas will be playing a Policeman in episode one of the Strangerers. Ironically Paul isn't in that episode.
Quote from Rob Grant (courtesy of Sheelagh Wells) "It's a botched alien invasion of Earth." - Sorces The Avon Club, Janet Darrow and Sheelagh Wells.
Paul is to do a TV film called THE DREAMERS. He will play a character called Mr. Moon, who works for the government. He's a MI5 type hardman - complete with two henchmen who never speak!
