Frequency:

Megahertz: A hertz is a term used in physics to describe a unit of frequency equal to one cycle per second, named after German physicist H.R.Hertz (1857-1894 AD). A megahertz is used to denote a million hertz. In telecommunications, 'frequency' is used to denote the number of cycles per second of the carrier wave of the transmission, so it was informally used for a frequency band or channel. It was in this context that, in Killer, Avon said that the crystal ran the spectrum from 'Bands L to Y up to thirty thousand megahertz'.

Band L is from 1 to 2 GHz. Band Y has no definition in 2004AD.
