Mini Review By Sarah Thompson

I haven't heard the radio play yet, but a friend tells me that given my tastes, she expects me to listen to the first five minutes over and over and over again, and the rest only once.

Which somehow reminds me of Judith Seaman. Get-Avon fans, these zines are for you. She is an extraordinarily good writer, possibly (IMO, of course) the best stylist in fandom, and very science- fictional; she rather reminds me of C. J. Cherryh. Her Avons suffer exquisitely. Her Blakes, it must be said, are generally dreadful; but then one can't have everything.

I've arranged the zines in order of publication. Everything from Program #1 on is still available, either from the author or from the Avon club.

The series begun in =The Way Back= #1 was continued by the author in the form of small standalones after #2 failed to materialize; but she then seems to have lost interest in it and to have started on Program instead.

There are supposed to be two more parts to Ghost, concluding the 13-episode series. There is then supposed to be a sequel, Combat, also 13 episodes.

I know it's been a long time since we had more of these stories, but if Phoenix can be resurrected, then I have hopes on this front too.
